Our Story
I started this company after growing up in the construction industry, where I witnessed firsthand the changes and challenges over the years. As the industry evolved, I saw a flood of shady individuals posing as contractors, taking advantage of homeowners with no remorse or accountability. These “contractors” would often close one business and reopen under a new name to hide their poor reputation.
I vividly remember my father, as a child, agreeing to take jobs over the phone or with a handshake, and there was never any doubt that he would show up and complete the work he was hired to do. Over time, the construction industry shifted, and handshakes gave way to contracts requiring a down payment. While this was a necessary change, it also created an environment where customers sometimes failed to pay, pushing businesses to ask for upfront payments to protect themselves. Unfortunately, this shift opened the door for criminals to exploit homeowners, accepting down payments and either abandoning the project halfway through or never showing up at all.
We’ve all heard stories of someone falling victim to such scams, with no recourse or solution. After my father passed away leaving my mom to handle the upkeep and future construction responsibilities, I was motivated to find a solution. Our service is designed to advocate for homeowners and protect their financial investment while keeping services affordable. We believe in the philosophy of “trust but verify,” offering multiple layers of protection that go beyond financials. Our goal is to hold contractors accountable while ensuring they are paid on time, giving our clients peace of mind that their projects will be completed as agreed.

Meet the Powell's
We are Jake, Sarah, Jaxon, and Sadie. Sarah and I have been married for 14 years, and together we’re raising two amazing children. We live in Verdigris, OK, where both kids attend school, play sports, and enjoy community activities.
I grew up surrounded by construction with my dad owning a few businesses in different trades. Upon graduation I joined the Tulsa Air National Guard serving for 6 years and completing three overseas deployments. I have worked in many different trades within the construction industry from designing/building swimming pools, dirt/excavation, flooring and more. Currently I serve a local community as a full-time firefighter and own and operate this business. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, off-roading, and riding my Harley. I also serve as the President and founder of the Burnout on 66 Foundation raising money for children battling cancer.
My amazing wife Sarah is very involved in our community as the director of a local faith-based early childhood center. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with family and friends, hosting, and taking our daughter, Sadie, to pageants.
Jaxon, our 12-year-old, excels in the 6th grade and enjoys playing with friends, hunting, fishing, off-roading, and playing baseball and anything outdoors.
Sadie, our fun loving 5-year-old loves spending time with family, participating in pageants, gymnastics, and playing with her friends.
As a family, we love spending our summers at the lake. Most weekends, you can find us tubing, fishing, or swimming with friends. When we have the opportunity, we enjoy traveling and experiencing new things together.
